Terms & Conditions
Under the Bronze and Silver Contract the charge for a site attendance is £80* for up to 1 hour on site, any additional hours and travel time, to and from site, are charged at £80* per hour, invoiced at 15 min intervals. Any parts used will be in addition to these costs. *All prices subject to VAT at the prevailing rate.
Please note that under the Terms of this Agreement,
- Acceptance of the contract is via email, post or telephone. If a contract has not been returned, but a service has been booked by the client, the contract will become binding by virtue of the client’s acceptance by conduct. This will be irrespective of whether an email/post confirmation has been received. Charges will be levied as outlined in the contract information that has been sent to the client.
- A service can only be completed on working gates. Whilst minor glitches may be able to be resolved within the service faulty gates will require a repair/call out. If the gates are fully operational after the repair a service may be completed. Please note that this is at the discretion of the engineer and/or Service Manager.
- The repair or replacement of the hand-held transmitters, fobs or cards are not covered by any of the above contracts.
- None of the above contracts will cover equipment damage due to: Vandalism, Impact, tampering, or subsidence.
- General maintenance is not covered such as squeaking hinges etc, although these are lubricated/greased during the service
- Environmental damage such as lightning, floods, snow, frost, excessive wind etc are not covered under any contracts.
- 48 Hour site attendance in the Silver Contract may not be achievable during adverse weather conditions.
- 48 Hour attendance: Calls made between 8am and 4pm Monday to Thursday and 8am and 1pm on Fridays will be considered for 48 Hour attendance.
- Bank Holidays and public holidays are not classed as normal working days.
- This contract covers the gate system only and does not extend to: –
- Entry phone systems
- Video cameras and monitors are not covered under any contract.
- Ground induction loops are not covered under any contract – tested but not covered for replacement of
- Underground cables are not covered under any contract.
- Gates, hinges, stops, wheels and rollers are not covered under any contract for replacement but are checked within your service
- Bank Holidays and public holidays are not classed as normal working days.
- The contractor / owner must ensure that while our employees are on site they shall not be exposed to any risk to their health and safety.
- The contractor / owner will provide access and equipment to carry out the work required, e.g. remote controls, cards, keys etc.
- In addition, clear access is required to control; boxes and other equipment required. Please ensure nothing restricts access. Examples of, but not restricted to, excessive shrubbery/trees, builder’s materials, “port-a-loo’s”, etc. If we cannot access the equipment, we may be unable to complete the service and/or repair, and you may be charged for the visit
- It is the responsibility of the contractor / owner to inform Secure Access Services Ltd of any deterioration, defects or malfunctions as soon as possible to prevent the situation worsening.
- No contract covers equipment where parts are no longer available, or equipment has reached the end of is serviceable life.
- Site Inductions taking longer than 10 minutes may be chargeable, pro-rata, at our standard hourly rate.
- Secure Access Services will levy a cancellation charge of £80* for any aborted visits where a minimum of 24 hrs notice of the confirmed appointment has not been given. In addition, we will also recharge to the customer for any access/hire equipment costs incurred.
- SAS employees will treat our customers with respect as such we do not tolerate abusive/unreasonable behaviour towards our team members. Your visit may be curtailed should this happen, and you will be charged for the call and your contract may be terminated.
- The equipment that is installed/fitted by SAS is correct at the time of installation. Upgrades in software for this equipment and associated electronic devices, including mobile phones, cannot be covered by SAS. Please note that sometimes the software takes time to keep up with mobile phones/tablets when they are first released and/or updated.
